Key Information:

Please note: Miners can use both Windows and Linux to mine.

Now, it’s time to learn how to mine LUX with f2pool 🐟

Part 1 — Obtain LUX Wallet Address

Just like mining any cryptocurrency, you must first have a wallet that accepts the LUX mining payout. Here are the options:

Please note: regulatory policies related to cryptocurrency mining differ in each country, and each miner is responsible to understand the associated risks.

Part 2 — Download mining software

The mining software can be downloaded through the following links:

f2pool mining software (NVIDIA & AMD):

Official mining software:

Both the f2pool software and official software will provide the same result, however, you may save time during the setup if you use the f2pool developed mining software. The f2pool version has a batch file for miners and the default mining pool is set to f2pool. Therefore, you can simply replace the wallet address in the configuration parameters with your own LUX wallet address and save the settings.

Linux miners can obtain the corresponding mining software through the above original link.

Please set up the software according to the parameters within this mining guide.

Part 3 — Set mining parameters

3.1 N-card mining

Download the N-card mining software and unzip the files. Right click on “start.bat” and click “Edit”.

Set the parameters as follows:

ccminer-x64 -a phi2 -o stratum+tcp://lux.f2pool.com:5780 -u wallet_address.worker_name -p x

Set the LUX pool URL and port number, and set your own LUX wallet address and worker name as shown in the image above. If you have multiple miners, the worker name is used to distinguish between different machines. The wallet address and worker name should be separated by a period “.”.

Do not delete any spaces or punctuation marks when modifying the file, as that will cause the file to be corrupted. Please save the file after the modifications are completed.

The parameters should be set as follows:

  • ccminer-x64 is the directory where you want to run the mining software
  • -a is the name of the mining algorithm
  • -o is the address of the mining pool server and the port number to connect to. The address can be an IP address or a domain name. The default address and port number stratum+tcp://lux.f2pool.com:5780
  • -u is the miner username and miner number. Here you must edit and set your own LUX wallet address. This is very important — if this is incorrectly filled then you will not receive the mining payout.

Other parameters do not need to be changed. Once the mining parameters are set, save the “start.bat” file and then double-click to start mining.

3.2 Z-enemy mining settings (N-card)

Download the mining software and unzip the files. Right click on “start.bat” and click “Edit”.

Set the parameters as follows:

z-enemy -a phi2 -o stratum+tcp://lux.f2pool.com:5780 -u wallet_address.worker_name -p x -i 19

Check the LUX pool URL and port number, and set your own LUX wallet address and worker name as shown in the image above.

After save the “start.bat” file and then double-click to start mining.

3.3 sgminer mining setting (A-card)

Download the mining software and unzip the files. Right click on “start.bat” and click “Edit”.

Set the parameters as follows:

.\sgminer.exe -k phi2 -o stratum+tcp://lux.f2pool.com:5780 -u wallet_address.worker_name -w 256 -I 23 -p x

Check the LUX pool URL and port number, and set your own LUX wallet address and worker name as shown in the image above.

If mining is unsuccessful, please try to add this parameter: “ — gpu-platform 1”

Please note: It is recommended to use the graphic card driver version 18.9.3 because the version 18.11.2 does not perform very well. Setting the mining parameter “-I 22” or above can increase the hashrate. The specific value needs to be tested to find the most suitable value for your miners. If it shows “initializing GPU” error, please set a lower value.

Now you’re ready to start mining!

Part 4 — Monitoring mining machine status and revenue

To view the operational status and daily income of the mining machine, you can access the f2pool official website, click on the search bar in the upper right corner, and enter the wallet address to check.

You can also view the information through our f2pool app. From the login screen, select “Quick View” in the bottom right corner and enter your wallet address.

Please note: After you set up your miner, it may take a little time before your mining data will sync with the f2pool website and app.
